My granddaughter has been fascinated with Star Wars even before the new movie and has many Star Wars t-shirts. I purchased several of the recently released fabrics and made pillowcases for her for Christmas. Having a little leftover fabric, I decided to use an old pattern I found in my bookshelf that claimed "one hour bear." NOT! I'm not a fan of making dolls and doll clothes and this was a bit of a challenge. With only 2 pattern pieces, the checked fabric had to be precisely cut out to match up. Cotton fabric makes him a little stiff and I think the neck is too long. And those eyes! LOL
I was going to give the pattern away but when my daughter saw Star Bear, she asked for one, too - a Baylor Bear. So, I guess I'll do a little redesigning and try this little guy one more time. Who knew ugly bear could be a treasure.
